Zeshawn Luc (b. 2004, Miami, Florida) is a Haitian American multimedia artist. Raised by a single mother from a working-class background, Zeshawn finds structure in aesthetics amidst a largely chaotic existence. He currently lives and works between New York City and Atlanta, working primarily in painting, digital media, and video. His practice balances depiction and dramatization, using his work as a platform to explore ambition, insecurity, Black identity, and the tension between mainstream expectations and personal truth. His aim is to evoke empowerment, vulnerability, and introspection—inviting viewers to envision a future we shape together. Zeshawn’s work is defined by fluid linework, kinetic transitions, and stark contrasts between subject and setting. He often crafts his own tools, using repetitive and continuous line displacement to reveal both form and narrative. In a 2023 interview, he stated: “I seek to describe the whole of these happenings—violence, pursuit, love, and the indomitable human spirit that serves as the catalyst for my work.” Deeply attuned to collective emotion, Zeshawn uses momentum as a storytelling force, charting a singular direction we all inevitably move toward: forward. In addition to his personal practice, Zeshawn is the Creative Director of Mgez Studio, a graphic design and advertising firm focused on advancing culture through unorthodox design. With unwavering dedication to his craft and an insatiable drive to create, Zeshawn aspires to make a lasting impact on future generations, cultural discourse, and art history.
